Split peas are a little-known and unloved vegetable, yet they're so tasty! Here's an easy-to-make soup to discover its flavours...

Cooking time : 40 Min
Ingredients :
3300g split peas
3 onions
½ lemon
15 ml oil
2 cloves garlic
1 chicken stock cube
Albert Ménès Ground Ginger
Albert Ménès Mild Curry
Albert Ménès Cloves
Albert Ménès Turmeric
Albert Ménès Cayenne Pepper
Albert Ménès Coriander Leaves
Salt and Pepper

Preparation:
To make this soup, first rinse and drain the split peas.
In a saucepan over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion in the oil until translucent. Add the minced garlic, then sprinkle with the spices and add a few cloves.
Finally, add the peas and stock cube. Pour in the water and bring to the boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and simmer uncovered for 40 minutes. Finally, sprinkle with the squeezed lemon juice.
You can now serve it to your guests.
