Normandy Cake with Apples Macerated in Calvados

This cake is made with the finest ingredients: apples and grapes macerated in Calvados, wheat flour, whole eggs. The apples and raisins macerate overnight in Calvados before being incorporated into the dough. The traditional method of preparation, baking for a long time in wooden moulds, results in a uniquely moist cake that develops all the flavours of the fruit and the Calvados.
Presented pre-sliced, this pure butter cake with apples macerated in Calvados is perfect for dessert or tea time. Try it with an apple sorbet.
INGREDIENTS: 29% macerated apples with Calvados (70% candied apples, 30% Calvados natural, glucose-fructose syrup, sucrose, acidity regulator : citric acid, gelling agent : xanthan), WHEAT flour (GLUTEN), sugar, macerated grapes Calvados 14% (9% raisins, 4% Calvados), BUTTER (MILK), whole EGGs, EGGs yolks, salt, baking powder (sodium bicarbonate, disodium diphosphate), natural flavors of apple and vanilla. MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF NUTS, HAZELNUTS, pistachio, ALMOND and SULFITES. Possible presence of cherry stones and grape stalks.
