Ras el Hanout literally means "head of the shop" in Arabic. This spice mix is an essential ingredient in North African countries. It is also commonly known in France as the "curry powder of the Maghreb”. Each Ras el Hanout mix is different and unique, but we consider this one to contain the best spices. Our Ras el Hanout is made from a very unique recipe, with slightly sweet notes: coriander, turmeric, caraway, cumin, salt, cayenne pepper, rice flour, fenugreek, fennel, garlic powder, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and cloves.

Our Ras el Hanout contains a subtle blend of spices that is perfect for both sweet and savoury dishes. It enhances both great North African classics (tagines, couscous, honey-based pastries) and some European dishes. For example, why not try sprinkling some over vegetables such as cauliflower or potatoes before roasting. Ras el Hanout can also be used to flavour sweet and savoury pies, custard tarts or soups. To bring out all flavours of this amazing mix, try frying it in oil first.

INGREDIENTS: coriander, turmeric, caraway, cumin, salt, cayenne pepper, rice flour, fenugreek, fennel, garlic powder, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, whole cloves. MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF PEANUTS, SESAME, MUSTARD and CELERY.
